We are urgently seeking a quantity Surveyor for our clients Auckland office to work with a team of Estimators and Cost Planners.
The candidate ideally will have 3 to 5 years New Zealand Residential Building industry experience with tertiary qualifications
The position will require a person who has good communication and interpersonal skills, is commercially oriented, self motivated and capable of working independently within our clients team of Quantity Surveyors. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with a range of QS software is essential. The position reports to directly to one of the company’s Managers.
To be successful in securing this role you will have:
Good measurement and pricing skills across all trades
First class cost planning abilities across all building elements
An understanding of all procurement methods
Tertiary qualifications / building related
Good negotiation skills
Sound technical knowledge
An ability to see the big picture with sound business acumen skills
Based within their Head Office you will be paid a salary package commensurate with your level of experience. You will be involved in the preparation of cost planning estimates and reports, preparation of bills of quantities and builder's quantities, contract administration and final account work, attending site meetings etc.

Location: Auckland
One of our long term contractors is looking for a Site Engineer to take on a permanent position for a range of new and ongoing contracts in Auckland
Main Duties
As Site Engineer you will be working very closely with Project Engineer and Owners Representatives on a number of civil schemes. You will be providing technical information, including setting out and supervision of the activities which involve effectively managing other specialist sub-contracts, control and monitoring of safety in line with the method statements and risk assessments and company standards, and assisting with the compliance including Quality Systems.
Requirements
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
Previous demonstrated experience in delivering technical information through on site setting out and supervision of construction activities
A willingness and competency to take part in a site based role.
Good communication and people skills
A desire to progress within the Construction Industry.
The successful candidate will have the following:
An Engineering/ Land Surveying degree, NZCE or similar qualifications
Proven Site competencies
Experience construction software packages
